Event Description

Kenora’s 8th annual Job Fair will be held Thursday April 23rd, 2009 at the Kenora Curling Club. Job Fair is a great opportunity for face-to-face contact with over 70 employers, trainers and employment support professionals in a one-day event. You will have access to dozens of businesses and organizations in just a few hours - something that would otherwise take weeks!

Each year Job Fair draws and builds on the strengths of the previous year’s event, and surpasses it on all counts - the quality, quantity and diversity of displays, the enthusiasm of exhibitors, the number of visitors, the number and mix of jobs posted by employers, the information and resources offered by exhibitors and the community partner support. Job Fair is about much more than ‘looking for a job’. You will find that only some of the employers with exhibits are actually looking to hire in the immediate future. But - most of them will hire at some point, and it will not hurt for you to meet them, get to know a bit about their firms and what skills and training they look for when they are hiring. Get prepared!

Also, an employer may be able to give you information that will assist you in recharging your career and jump starting your future, even if it is not with their organization.
